Dear Friends, This is a platform. Or a window. And the place where I will still show you what steps I am taking to move away from this. Can we still live into our experiences, our senses, without even the interrupting thought of capturing or sharing the moment? Who are we if we are not human and relating to one another through our senses, our feelings, our in-person and interpersonal offerings. I am tired of my own self-interruptions. One of my favorite things about being on the road, in nature, in desolate areas, is being freed from distractions of this kind. Last year I had the idea of documenting my trip in drawings. I quickly failed simply due to the amount of mileage I was covering while driving. I am trying a slower pace and I am trying again. And I what I am still sharing here are images that were created away from this debilitating device. Make good use of it, share important and beautiful things, and then make sure you fill yourself up with a healthy dose of uninterrupted quality experiences. Love, Sara

Just a little bit proud of my first rainbow pizza 🌈. I didn’t use my tiny oven so I could use bigger pans which meant the tops crisped up bit more than usual. That’s purple sweet potato on the end which lost a bit of its color. Plus peppers and regular sweet potatoes. Third pizza not pictured has caramelized onions, goat cheese and tomatoes. Homemade dough, sauce, and caramelized onions. #homemadepizza

Another “zero-waste” concept skirt. I say “concept” because it’s impossible to sew an article of clothing leaving literally zero waste (from fabric production, postal service, packaging, cut threads, a seam that needed to be taken in, etc) even when you’re using eco-fabrics. However it was designed to use up all parts of the fabric and I made the decision to leave out one leftover rectangle (which could have been incorporated) so I can color block it with something else. Fabric is tencel stretch jersey from @metermeterdk and first pic is most color-accurate. #zerowastesewing
